My work spans encaustic painting, photo encaustic, and photography — unified by a deep attentiveness to the natural world of Northern California. I layer wax and image in my encaustic and photo encaustic pieces to evoke the luminous, atmospheric quality of coastal landscapes, valley oaks, and seasonal light. My wildlife and abstract photography pursues that same sensibility through the lens — finding form, texture, and mood in living subjects and the overlooked edges of the visible world.
