Tony Speirs is an artist and sometime illustrator living and working in Sonoma County, CA. He has shown his narrative works throughout the Bay Area for over 35 years and his illustrations have appeared in several national and regional publications and books. His influences include old cartoons and comics, circus posters, mid-20th Century toys and games, children’s books, fruit crate labels and other illustrated ads and packaging from around the world. He views pop-culture ephemera as a sort of language, and through their use in mash-ups and as inspiration, he strives to tell modern, sometimes personal stories.
